Crystal Palace, LondonI have finally got my sweaty little hands on the first copy of my book and it looks great! Seeing it for real for the first time was a buzz - I just can't wait to see it in the shops now!
The book is out on the 5th of September but we are having a book launch event on Sunday 31st August in London - The Little People Treasure hunt! I will be placing four installations at various locations around London and it is up to YOU to track them down and find them. The hunt starts at my show at Cosh Gallery on Berwick Street. The first person or team to spot all four installations and get to the finish line at the Truman Brewery Bar on Brick Lane will win a signed print from the show. There is also a special prize for the best photography of the installations, with a flickr page set up here for you to upload to, so bring your cameras! After the hunt, there will be music and drinks at the Truman Brewery Bar and the chance to buy the book a full 5 days before it arrives in shops (woopie!). And if that wasn't incentive enough to sign up, everyone that registers gets sent a free exclusive badge set featuring artwork from the book cover (while stocks last!) Wow, book looks good! Can you let us know when and where it'll be available? I'd love to get my hands on one, but living on the continent, that'll have to be through the internet...
There will, i think, be a German edition too at the same sort of time, but this is still being worked out! Hopefully other editions too in the future. If you live outside the UK your best bet would be Amazon, or to hold back until i post about other editions.

How do you do that - everytime I look at your installations it makes me feel good. Even the bloodsplatter ones are like a soft attempt to look into reality without facing reality at large...blubb. did not mean to do philosophy. Good luck and keep it on.

“En muzur sorular”
Biliyorsunuz estetik cerrahi artık çok popüler oldu. Ayıplar kalktı, burun estetiği sonrası alçılı burunlar ile alışverişe çıkmak neredeyse “havalı” oldu. Biz estetik cerrahlara da ilgi dorukta. Her ortamda köşelere çekilip soru yağmuruna tutuluyoruz. Lütfen yanlış anlaşılmasın, hiç şikâyetçi değilim bu durumdan. İşte en hoşuma giden sorular ve bu sporular etrafında gelişen sohbetlerden bazıları: Estetik cerrahi, Estetik
* “Ben aslında estetiğe karşıyım” diye başlayan sorular, favorim. göğüs estetiği
Bazen, “Evet ben de karşıyım” diyorum (!)… estetik
* Eşimin haberi olmadan göğüslerime silikon taktırsam ne olur?” ya da “Şu yağları alsanız eşim anlar mı?” sorusu da zor bir soru.
“Anlamazsa eşinizi lütfen boşayın” demek en dürüst yaklaşım olur ama her zaman bu kadar açık sözlü olamıyor insan. estetik
* “Ben kaç yaşındayım sizce?” estetik
Bu cevap vermeyeceğim diye tövbe ettiğim bir sorudur Estetik. Eğer doğru söylersem büyük bir alınganlık oluyor, hele ki fazla söylersem yandım. Ama tersi olur da genç bir yaş ağzımdan çıkarsa bu seferde işe yaramaz bir plastik cerrah olduğum düşünülüyor. Gerçi bu gene de size küsülmesinden daha iyi. estetik
* “Çok genç gözüküyorsunuz, kaç yaşındasınız, kaç ameliyat yaptınız?” estetik
Kırkıma geliyorum estetik. Her on senede 10 kilo alıyorum ve artık sörf yaparken bile yaşlandığımı hissediyorum. Oğlum baba “Başın niye kel ?” diyor. Ameliyatlar, kaç ameliyat yaptım ben de bilemiyorum Estetik Cerrahi. Binlerce. Bazen düşünüyorum, ne kadar çok ama ne kadar kadar çok insanı ameliyat ettim. Depremden sonra bir tek günde irili ufaklı 12 ameliyat yapmıştım. Genç gözükmek yine de iyi bir şey. Bu sorudan memnunum.
* “Teomancım sence benim göbeğime estetik lazım mı?”
Uzun bir masa, bir akşam yemeği, gayet nezih bir restoran. Soruda bir sorun yok, sadece bir hanımın göbeğini burada açması ilgi çekiyor. Sanki herkes bize bakıp beni tanıyor ve “cık cık” yapıyor gibi hissediyorum.
* “Sizde Burun estetiği var mı?
Yorum yok!
* “Amerika’dan mı geldiniz?”
Efendim ben bütün ihtisasımı burada, ülkemde yaptım, diplomalarımı hep buradan aldım. Sadece belli dönemlerde gittim Amerika’ya, iyi bulduğum büyük hocaların yanına gittim, belli konuları özellikle öğrenmek için. Her seferinde de ülkeme geri geldim.
* “Eşinize estetik yaptınız mı?”
Hayır ihtiyacı yok.
* “Ben sizin anneniz olsam bana bu estetik ameliyatını önerir miydiniz?”
Evet önerirdim. Prensip olarak anneme önermeyeceğim hiç bir şeyi size de önermem. estetik
* “Hangi ünlüleri ameliyat ettiniz? N’olur söyleyin bakın aramızda kalacak”.
Bu genellikle röportaj sorusudur ve teyp ya da kamera basbayağı açıktır estetik. Cevabım da sabittir. “Ünlülerde insan, onların da hasta mahremiyetleri var. Nasıl size söylerim? Sakın yanlış anlamayın aramızda kalacağına elbette eminim.” estetik
* “Hangi ünlüleri güzel buluyorsunuz, örneğin X in dudakları sizce altın oranlara uyuyor mu?” Estetik
Eyvah. Ben genellikle bu ünlüyü tanımıyor olurum. Muhtemelen ben ameliyattayken ünlenmiştir ve ben yine ameliyattayken çeşitli skandallar ve aşk üçgenleri içerisinde ünü pekişmiştir. Hülya Koçyiğit, diyorum bu soruya Estetik. Benim en çok beğendiğim ünlü o. Hele ki en eski filmlerinden birisini seyrederseniz bir insanın ne kadar güzel olabileceğine hayret edebilirsiniz. Aynı şey Cüneyt Arkın’ın en erken filmleri için de geçerli. Gerçekten mükemmel! Estetik
* “Benim burnum ameliyatlı mı? Bakalım bilebilecek misiniz?” Estetik
Bu da tövbe ettiğim bir soru. Evet derseniz sizden nefret edilecektir, hayır cevabı ise listeden silinmenize neden olur.
* “Ben estetik burun estetiği yaptıracağım, kimi tavsiye edersiniz?”
Çok moral bozucu bir soru. Güvenilmemek, hatta yok farz edilmek çok zor. “Sizi Amerika’ da yanında çalıştığım hocam var ona yollayayım” diyorum, “dünyanın en iyisidir”. Bu cevapla bir derece durum düzelebiliyor.
* “Bütün estetikli burunları ben anlıyorum, hepsi çok kötü”.
Peki ya anlayamadıklarınız da varsa? Belki çevrenizde ki birçok insanın burnu ameliyat edilmiş ama siz fark etmiyorsunuz.
* “Ben estetik botoksa karşıyım”. “Neden karşısınız? , “Çünkü maske gibi yüzleri oluyor, hemen anlıyorum ben”.
Peki Estetik botokslu olduklarını nereden biliyorsunuz? Belki bu gördüğünüz ve beğenmediğiniz yüz şeklinin botoks ile ilgisi yok, ki gerçekten de yok. Bana kızıyorlar. “Yok yok var, ben biliyorum, maske yüz oluyor” cevabını alıyorum genellikle. Bu safhada bir şey söyleyemiyorum.
Mesleğimi çok seviyorum. Herhalde başka hiç bir işi bu hevesle yapamazdım ve estetik plastik cerrah olmasam kendimi eksik hissederdim. Sadece yaptığımız bu işin bilimsel temelleri olduğunu ve gerçekten çok emek vererek bu yere gelebildiğimizi anlatamamak bazen zor oluyor. Ama bu da bizim işimizin bir parçası. Siz yine de bana sormak istediğiniz her şeyi sorun estetik . Sorunuzun içten ve gerçek olacağını biliyorum. Ameliyattan başımı ilk aldığım zaman sizi cevaplayacağım. teoman doğan
